PSYCHOLOGY

Zehra Kamal Alam is a clinical psychologist with twenty years of experience. She completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Karachi, in 1998 and has recently completed another Masters in Psychology of Education from Columbia University, USA (2019). Zehra has practiced with children and young people with behavioral difficulties, adjustment issues, and traumatic life experiences including sexual abuse. She has also worked with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, difficult life experiences including domestic and sexual violence. She received her initial on-the-job training and supervision from US trained psychiatrists. Zehra’s overall approach to therapy is person centered. However, it is eclectic and determined by the nature of the presenting issues as well as available evidence of best practices to address these.
